엔진 온도 상승이 자동차 고장으로 이어지는 정확한 메커니즘은 무엇인가?

엔진이 고온으로 인해 고장나는 여러 방식 중 하나는 열에 의한 피스톤 외경 증가이다. 열은 물체를 팽창시키므로, 엔진이 열에 의해 고착될 상황에서 피스톤의 외경(OD)이 증가하여 실린더 보어의 내경(ID)보다 커진다. 열로 인한 고착으로 인해 매우 높은 마찰이 발생하고, 피스톤이 크랭크축을 멈추게 하며 모터는 고착된 피스톤의 실린더 보어 마찰을 극복할 만큼 충분한 동력을 생성할 수 없다. 엔진이 냉각되면 피스톤은 수축하고 실제 고착으로 인한 물리적 장해가 없다면 엔진이 시동될 수 있게 한다. 열 관련 고착 후에는 일부 경우 엔진이 시동될 수 있다. 이것이 양호한 작동 상태를 의미하거나 수명과 내구성이 영향을 받지 않았다는 의미는 아니다.

I’m on the brink. We live in the lakes now and this would tick the do-it-all machine. Tbf, so would a 2023/4 FFRR PHEV which are £60k less and now come with a 2yr LR used warranty !
