With BMW dealers you need to develop a relationship. In my case, I bought my car from Sytner Nottingham and the Master Tech in question had been in the BMW sphere for a long time. Ditto, my local dealer has two Z8s and maintains at least one other and there are at least two Techs who know their way around these cars. And I insist on them working on my cars. And they know that. Thankfully, Z8s aren’t actually that complicated. You wouldn’t want them to do an engine rebuild granted but anything normal is easily covered by looking at the TIS.

In a multi story that I was using earlier this evening, the MOT ran out in May 24. I do find the car park ones odd, I've seen other seemingly abandoned cars in other car parks, I'd love to know the reasons.

Writing the title made me wonder how many rear engined coupes have existed. I got 911 (obviously), some Alpines, Delorean, Fiat / Abarth versions of the 850. There must be more.But this is none of those. Its Japanese, made in the '80s and sold here in reasonable numbers. But they are now firmly in the category of 'rare but nobody gives a st'. I'm debating what I do with a speedo conversion. Plus point with the Lockwood is you get mph and kph whereas converting it on the CAN leaves you with mph only. Or I could just leave it in Km. I'm fairly used to doing it in my head that way around. Of course, there was an incident in the Forester where I forgot it was converted and I took it up to an indicated 100 thinking 'this feels strangely fast'
