증상
2016 Ram 1500 5.7L에서 냉간 시동 시 큰 틱음 소음이 발생하며, 실내에서도 들릴 정도. 엔진이 워밍업되면 대부분 사라짐. 배기 누수가 의심되지만, 누수가 작아서 엔진이 데워지면서 누수가 줄어들거나 없어져 CEL(Check Engine Light)이 켜지지 않을 가능성. 충분히 작은 배기 누수의 경우 산소 센서가 감지할 만큼 심각해야만 코드가 발생하며, 이 정도 누수는 감지되기 어려움.
처리 내용
5.7L Hemi 엔진은 '헤미 틱(Hemi tick)'으로 알려진 특성이 있으므로, 먼저 엔진 오일 교환을 우선적으로 진행할 것을 권장. 헤미 틱은 오일 교환이 필요한 신호일 수 있음. $30 정도의 코드 리더기를 글로브 박스에 구비해두는 것도 좋으나, 이 정도의 배기 누수로는 pending DTC가 발생할 가능성이 낮음. 최근에 K&N 판넬 필터나 풀 인테이크를 설치했는지 확인 - 인테이크 업그레이드의 경우 소음 증가를 설명할 수 있음.
