간섭 엔진(interference engine)의 밸브 손상 여부를 확인하는 방법
처리 내용
헤드를 분해하지 않고도 확인할 수 있습니다. 1번 실린더를 상사점(TDC)에 맞추고 캠축과 크랭크축이 정렬되었는지 확인하세요. 흡기 튜브를 빼고 스로틀을 개방한 후 리크다운 테스트 키트를 연결합니다. 공기음을 들어보세요. 흡기 쪽에서 공기가 나오면 밸브가 손상된 것이고, 배기 쪽에서 나오면 역시 밸브가 손상된 것입니다. 다른 방법으로는 90도 미러가 달린 보어스코프(borescope)를 사용하여 캠축과 크랭크축이 상사점에 정렬된 상태에서 밸브를 육안으로 검사할 수 있습니다.
