배기 시스템은 안전성, 쾌적성, 소음 감소, 공간 활용 등 여러 목적을 가지고 있습니다. 안전성: 배기 가스는 매우 고온이므로 배기관 전체에 열 차폐막을 설치합니다. 엔진에서는 열을 제거하려고 적극적으로 노력하는데, 배기 열이 추가되면 과열 위험이 증가합니다. 또한 뜨거운 배기관이 도어 근처에 노출되어 있으면 내릴 때 다리가 접촉할 위험이 있습니다. 쾌적성: 배기가 앞이나 옆에서 배출되면 개방된 창문이나 환기 시스템을 통해 자신의 배기 가스를 들이마실 가능성이 높습니다. 소음 감소: 머플러(소음기)를 설치해야 합니다. 엔진 근처 공간은 이미 많이 사용 중이므로, 더 작은 크기로 설계하거나 머플러 없이 운영해야 합니다. 일부 지역의 소음 규제로 인해 제조사는 판매 가능하도록 머플러를 장착합니다. 공간 활용: 엔진룸의 공간 제약으로 배기계통은 차량 후방에 배치됩니다.
