증상
R17 알로이 휠에 225/50R17 여름 타이어를 장착하고 있으며, 겨울 타이어를 같은 사이즈로 구매하여 휠에 계절마다 교체 장착할 계획입니다. 봄에 다시 교체하거나 새로운 휠을 구매할 예정이며, 보관 공간 부족으로 같은 사이즈 타이어 사용이 더 유연할 것으로 생각됩니다.
처리 내용
같은 휠에 타이어를 반복적으로 착탈하면 타이어가 늘어나게 되어 결국 밀착성이 떨어질 수 있습니다. 여름과 겨울 타이어를 각각 별도의 휠에 장착하여 보관하기를 권장합니다. 타이어 사이즈 측면에서는 여름에는 넓은 타이어(접지면적 증가)를, 겨울에는 좁은 타이어(같은 무게가 작은 면적에 분산되어 포장도로 압력 증가)를 사용하는 것이 좋습니다. 다만 속도계와 주행거리계에 영향을 주지 않으려면 타이어 외경은 같아야 합니다. 타이어 사이즈 계산기를 이용하여 외경을 확인할 수 있습니다. 예를 들어 현재의 225/50-17 타이어는 205/60-16 타이어와 거의 같은 외경을 가지고 있으므로, 다른 휠 사이즈에 장착하면서도 같은 외경을 유지할 수 있습니다.
