배기음에서 팝팝거리는 소리가 난다

실린더 벽이 마모되어 있고, 엔진을 오버보어(oversize bore)할 것을 제안받음. 실린더 치수 변경에 따른 압축비 변화에 대해 궁금함. 피스톤을 교체해야 하는지, 기존 피스톤을 사용할 수 있는지 확인 필요. 과도한 오버보어의 단점이 무엇인지 알고 싶음.

단거리 운행이 많은 경우 디젤 엔진의 수명을 연장할 수 있는 방법이 무엇인가? 아침에는 다른 목적지를 거쳐 엔진이 충분히 따뜻해질 시간이 있지만, 사무실에서 집으로 돌아오는 길은 너무 짧아서 엔진이 제대로 데워지지 않음. 아침 운행은 필수이고 업무 중에 차량이 필요하기 때문에 일정을 바꿀 수 없는 상황에서 엔진 수명을 보호할 수 있는 방법이 있는가?

엔진 시작 전에 기다려야 하는지에 대한 의문 - 사촌이 점화 스위치를 켜고 3초를 센 후 시동을 거는 습관에 대해 궁금함. 유체(정확히 어떤 유체인지 불명확)가 엔진에 충분히 채워질 시간을 주기 위한 것이라고 함. 예전 자동차는 키를 바로 돌려 시동을 걸면 가끔 시작 실패가 발생했으며, 지금도 몇 초 기다리는 것이 엔진에 더 좋다고 주장함.

Oops, I bought a 1998 Bentley Brooklands R Mulliner Jack Barclay Edition. There were only 100 Brooklands R Mulliners made with each one being numbered. In that hundred the last 9 cars were specially commissioned for the Jack Barclay dealership - The Bentley Brooklands R Mulliner is standard a Long wheelbase edition.- The number of Bentleys Brooklands R Mulliner was strictly limited to 100 specially numbered editions. Ok so I go to a lot of music festivals in the summer, stay up all night, then try to sleep during the day. A buddy swears by just idling his van engine and blasting the AC, like for 4-8 hours when it gets up to 100 degrees outside… I get that this will put significant wear on the engine, but so will driving it 500 miles, what I’m asking is will it be dangerous for it and cause expensive repairs? Can a modern engine take this without breaking down or causing serious problems, as long as I change the oil afterwards or something?
