증상

Here's my Austin sprite. Owned for about 5 yrs now. 1275 with cooper s head, Weber carb etc etcIt's not slow, not fast, but feels fast. Great steering and so mechanical. Good cheap fun!

Perfect for bumbling along the sea front into Brighton where the diminutive size means that you can always find somewhere to park. 40 years ago(!!) when we were both in our late teens my wife had a yellow 1500 Midget and I had an X19. At that age I hated the midget but love them now.A cousin had one way back when. One could get two adults in the front and adolescents sitting on the hood in the back.Back in the days when fun and laughter was permitted, they were fun. But when they X-1/9 was an alternative, they did seem terribly decrepit and a bit of an embarrassment, really. Especially in light of the proposed Spridget/B replacement, a pretty Pininfarina-styled thing more in keeping with the Al-FIAT spyders. Hydrospastic instead of lever-arm dampers, etc. But of course BMC was potless.The passage of time has now permitted the Spridget to be enjoyed in its own right as a product of its true era.
