증상
시동을 걸려고 했을 때 헤드라이트와 계기판 불이 정상적으로 밝게 켜졌지만 엔진에서 아무 소리가 나지 않음. 크랭킹 시도도 없었고 마치 모터가 없는 것처럼 반응 없음. 약 10분 후 다시 시도했더니 정상 작동함. 지난 6개월간 시동을 걸 때 1-2초 지연 후 시작되는 간헐적 증상 있었음.
처리 내용
스타터 모터 솔레노이드의 접촉 불량일 가능성이 높음. 스타터를 찾아 한쪽에 작은 실린더가 있고 거기에 작은 와이어 하나가 연결되어 있는 부분을 확인(큰 메인 스타터 케이블이 아님). 이 커넥터(보통 스페이드 타입)를 분리하고 양쪽 접점을 깨끗이 청소. 필요시 와이어 끝의 암 커넥터를 약간 조여서 솔레노이드에 단단히 끼워지도록 조정. 이것으로 해결되지 않으면 같은 회로의 다른 부분에 문제가 있을 수 있지만, 이것이 첫 번째 점검 대상. 동일한 증상으로 여러 차량을 수리했는데 이 방법으로 모두 해결됨.

Writing the title made me wonder how many rear engined coupes have existed. I got 911 (obviously), some Alpines, Delorean, Fiat / Abarth versions of the 850. I'm debating what I do with a speedo conversion. Plus point with the Lockwood is you get mph and kph whereas converting it on the CAN leaves you with mph only. Or I could just leave it in Km. I'm fairly used to doing it in my head that way around. Of course, there was an incident in the Forester where I forgot it was converted and I took it up to an indicated 100 thinking 'this feels strangely fast'
