증상

Castrol for a knave said: We live in an AONB, so solar panels are not allowed on roofs, plus I think they look crap.They're not all big panels bolted on top of the roof these days. Solar tiles just look like slightly shinier roof tiles.

This example uses black panels, but coloured panels are available and I think look ok. Many listed building fall in to ruin simply because of inflexible and narrow minded planners who have no intention of being flexible when restoring or rebuilding listed builds. The results are often crumbling ruins that are completely unviable to bring back into use. As I was saying earlier...that looks absolutely terrible to my eyes, and it's ruined a perfectly lovely period house for me. Lee, I would agree completely, that looks absolutely dreadful and not in keeping with the property at all.If you really had to have solar in a property like that, you might be better putting up an array at the back of the garden, but I would certainly be looking for something a bit more aesthetically pleasing than plain black panels.Apologies if that is someones house on here, and given the fact that you aren't generally looking at your roof, you could get used to it.
