RizzoTheRat said: If you're collecting it yourself, I believe you're limited to filling 2 containers at a petrol station, which means 40 litres as you're limited to 20 litres for metal cans and smaller for petrol.If you're getting it delivered you'd presumably have pay a fortune for someone to deliver only a couple of hundred litres, and then I'm assuming you'd need to decant it in to 20 litre jerry cans to store it as you can't store a 40 gallon drum of petrol.Probably the most cost effective way to do it would be to buy a boat and tow it to a petrol station as it would count as a fuel tank not fuel storage ie. it's a right faff compared to the aforementioned farmers storing diesel, we used to order a few thousand litres at a time, and I believe the only regulation is you need a bund bigger than the tank.Storage wouldn't be an issue, I've a couple of acres and I live in the countryside so i could store well away the living accommodation so compliance with the HSE guidance would be no problem. I'd do this on the presumption there are no/ next to no petrol stations so yes, I would pay for delivery. Expensive, probably but it goes back to my point that if it's my hobby, I'd be willing to indulge.
