And none of them were a full working prototype of all that was promised.

That's literally what the words mean lolDoesn't make it saleable though does it? That's the point most people here have an issue with....the demo was almost the same and as relevant as them strapping an actual solid rocket booster to the back of a Model S. A working prototype....just totally irrelevant to the promises being made. The automotive sector is very very heavily regulated....far more so than things like aerospace in many ways, and this is what many tech people fail to understand. Musk understands it, but he doesn't care, because enough people beleive the fireworks display to throw a load of money into the coffers to prop up his businesses. Let's all hear it now.....'monorail, monorail, monorail, monorail....'
