증상
2008 Toyota Yaris의 뒷 우측 타이어를 연석에 부딪힌 후 몇 개월 전부터 타이어 저기압 경고등이 점등. Black & Decker 충전식 공기 주입기로 측정한 결과: 앞 좌측 70psi, 앞 우측 90psi, 뒷 좌측 20psi, 뒷 우측 20psi (도어 스티커 권장값: 모두 32psi 냉 기압). 뒷 타이어를 32psi로 충기했으나, 과도한 공기 충기의 위험성에 대해 의문 있음.
처리 내용
현실 점검 #1: 70psi의 타이어는 벌어질 정도로 부풀어 올라 육안으로 명백히 보임. 현실 점검 #2: 20psi의 타이어는 눈에 띄는 처짐이 발생. 문제는 Black & Decker 공기 주입기가 충전 부족 또는 설정 오류로 인한 부정확한 수치 표시로 판단됨. 디지털 표시 장치이므로 충분히 가능함. 정확한 값 확인을 위해 저렴한 기계식 타이어 공기압 게이지 구매 권장. 브랜드에 관계없이 신뢰성 있는 기계식 게이지는 실제 공기압을 정확히 표시함.

I can’t wait until they fix the situation where you can fit tyres that have worse rolling resistance than the factory spec. ones. I think we can all agree that the current situation is untenable.
