처리 내용
냉각 시스템을 완전히 플러시(flush)해야 합니다. DAWN 같은 식기 세제는 사용하지 마세요 — 과도한 거품이 발생하여 시스템을 손상시킬 수 있습니다. 올바른 플러시 절차: 라디에이터 하단 호스에 정원용 호스를 연결하고, 상단 호스의 배출수를 큰 양동이로 받으면서 높은 수압으로 수돗물로 플러시합니다. 시스템이 깨끗해질 때까지 반복합니다. 플러시 완료 후 냉각수와 물의 올바른 혼합액을 채우고, 시동 후 시스템을 점검하세요. 차량을 실험 대상으로 삼지 마시고 정확한 절차를 따르시기 바랍니다.

2014년식 Cherokee가 2023년경 정비소 방문 이후 지속적인 과열 문제 발생. 이전에는 정상 작동(210°F 이하)했으나 현재 워밍업 후 항상 210°F 이상 유지되며, 긴 언덕이나 부하 상황에서 235°F까지 급상승하여 'check gauges' 경고 표시. 시동을 끄고 후드를 열어서 다시 시동하면 세 개의 전기 팬(electric fan)이 빠르게 냉각시켜 210°F까지 급강하. 이 현상이 반복적으로 확인되고 열총(heat gun)으로도 검증됨.

I had a Dame Edna with this engine, picked it up for buttons and put about 40,000 on it and it only needed a tyre, an idler pulley, an ABS ring and a coolant return pipe. Absolutely fantastic cars - great power, good economy and I could do everything myself on the drive. Will always have a soft spot for them. Already had the uprated swirl flap bar too. Enjoy!

운전 중 갑자기 자동차가 무거워지면서 힘이 없어짐. 가스 스테이션에서 시동을 끔. 다시 시동을 걸려고 하니 크랭크는 되지만 바로 꺼짐. 2일 방치 후 돌아갔을 때 시동이 아예 안 걸리고 모터만 맴 (크랭킹음만 남). 계기판에 빨간색 냉각수 경고등이 나타남. 온도 게이지가 완전히 내려감.
