Recently I brought my car (1996 Toyota Corolla, manual transmission) in for itโs annual inspection. The mechanic pointed out that the struts needed to be replaced, and there was a problem with the battery terminal, so he replaced that. When I returned after the car was repaired, he told me the car had failed the emissions test, but that this was because he replaced the battery terminal. He said to drive the car for 100 miles and then bring it back to his shop and it would pass the emissions test. My question is - does it make sense that replacing the battery terminal would cause a problem with
you canโt change a โbattery terminalโ. The battery has 2 terminals, and they are part of the battery! Did you misunderstand the mechanic? Even if he replaced the battery, that has nothing to do with the emissions test. Ask him for the emissions report. He shouldnโt do any repairs without your permission.

Hi, friends. Anyone know which of the two hoses on the power steering reservoir is the return line? I need to change the fluid in my 94 Camry with the 2.2 l. Alternatively, is there an easy way to differentiate between return and suction?

Any chance someone can tell me whatโs going wrong here. Iโm used a titan 3/16 double flaring tool and nicopp. It keeps giving me this weird stepped flare. Iโm not sure what to call this issue so I didnโt know what to look up. Iโm doing my best to get a square cut, then I chamfer the outside with a file and chamfer the inside with a utility knife until thereโs no burrs. Iโm sort of worried that the screwing motion of the tool is messing with it somehow and instead I need a press tool. Whatโs weird is I did get one sort of good flare but couldnโt replicate it. Itโs also made a few good flares us

Does anyone here have experience with Front Steering and Suspension kits for older cars? [1] Iโm helping a friend get a 1966 Mustang he inherited back up and running. The body is in nice condition. Heโs looking at it as something to drive around locally, and not as a daily driver or for long trips. We got it running and itโs now registered. His front suspension is sloppy and loose, and has more steering play than it should, (even after tightening the steering box adj screw). The car is 1.5 hrs away from me, and weโre doing the work on his garage floor. We work on the car about twice a year. He
