Yeah prices have definitely firmed up.Not a clue what mine is worth with the miles but Lotii (?!) tend to settle after years 3 or 4 and then not dip below a certain point (and some start to appreciate, I made money on my 211 and 260Cup when I sold them).Can't see mine going below £40K any time soon, which will be half what I paid for it nearly 4 years ago and at that value it will just sit with me as a keeper piling on the miles and being thoroughly enjoyed.I also think that generally speaking a higher mileage well sorted Lotus with any initial gremlins having been sorted very often proves to be a better purchase than a low miles garage queeen with the new owner being the Guinea Pig once they start to drive the thing properly ..!!

Writing the title made me wonder how many rear engined coupes have existed. I got 911 (obviously), some Alpines, Delorean, Fiat / Abarth versions of the 850. There must be more.But this is none of those. Its Japanese, made in the '80s and sold here in reasonable numbers. But they are now firmly in the category of 'rare but nobody gives a st'. I'm debating what I do with a speedo conversion. Plus point with the Lockwood is you get mph and kph whereas converting it on the CAN leaves you with mph only. Or I could just leave it in Km. I'm fairly used to doing it in my head that way around. Of course, there was an incident in the Forester where I forgot it was converted and I took it up to an indicated 100 thinking 'this feels strangely fast'
