This is common through all the 3 generations of the JDM 'Sprinter Carib' of which the tercel is the first gen and the Corolla 4wd is the second gen. The third gen also had 'different' windows at the rear. It was an odd bit of styling that they stuck with. At least it's not boring I guess. Writing the title made me wonder how many rear engined coupes have existed. I got 911 (obviously), some Alpines, Delorean, Fiat / Abarth versions of the 850. I'm debating what I do with a speedo conversion. Plus point with the Lockwood is you get mph and kph whereas converting it on the CAN leaves you with mph only. Or I could just leave it in Km. I'm fairly used to doing it in my head that way around. Of course, there was an incident in the Forester where I forgot it was converted and I took it up to an indicated 100 thinking 'this feels strangely fast'
