증상

2012 볼보 C30 T5에서 에어컨을 켜면 15-30초 동안 냉각수 냄새가 실내에서 난다. 블로어만 켜면 냄새가 나지 않음. 과열이나 냉각수 부족, A/C 냉각력 저하는 없음. 최근 냉각수 탱크가 폭발적으로 고장나서 엔진룸 전체에 냉각수가 흩어졌었음.

처리 내용

주행 후 엔진룸을 물로 씻어낸다. 뜨거운 엔진 상태에서 신중하게 헹구면 재시동에 문제가 없다. 따뜻한 날씨에 하면 엔진룸이 잘 말라간다. 냉각수 냄새가 돌아오면 냉각수가 HVAC 흡입 덕트로 유입되었을 수 있다. 접근성에 따라 비누 물로 흡입 덕트를 세척하면 남아있는 냉각수를 제거할 수 있다. 헹굴 수 없으면 베이킹 소다 분말(Arm & Hammer)을 흡입구에 뿌려서 블로어를 저속이나 중속으로 돌려 분말을 흡입시킨다. 베이킹 소다가 HVAC 시스템의 통로를 코팅하면서 냄새를 흡수하고 중화시킨다.

I booked in for a minor service, to have the water pump, thermostat and coolant changed and the oil pressure relief valve changed to a later spec one. Paul suggested that I get a new oil filter canister as they need changing every few changes and I didnt know when it was last changed. I can help thinking Porsche parts might be a bit cheaper if they didnt give wrap them!
