And we're also not stopping people from buying new ICE or hybrids via egregious taxation. It's actually all plodding along quite calmly with people having free choice. Plus, we're still only in the first year of usable, affordable EVs being on sale. I don't think we have any need for the switch to go any quicker than it is and for the next decade it's really just for folks who can home charge and have suitable use cases. During that decade the additional third party ne

That reduces the number of people who don't have the ability to charge at home buying EV's. Whether or not that's a good or a bad thing depends on the relevant national strategies and targets.Good point on the the tax too, the Dutch have a purchase tax that's based on CO2 emissions plus a diesel surcharge, which also encourages people to switch to BEV.Ignoring 50% of users seems to be a big mistake. The government has decided it's definitely not taking the 20% VAT off public charge in the budget. Here in Glasgow it's 75%. Definitely going to be a market for boot leg charging stations. I could see someone charging for parking with free electric. catching on. From spring 2027, the government will provide £100 million over two years to cut charging costs for motorists using lower-powered public charge points near their homes. It will cover chargers typically found on residential streets, where drivers can leave their vehicles to charge for several hours or overnight. These make up around a third of the current charging network. And we’re laying the groundwork for a better system in the future too, as the government will also be taking forward the recommendation from the review to launch a “tariff porting” taskforce led by industry experts to explore allowing drivers to use their cheaper domestic energy tariff at certain public chargers. The Department for Transport will set out more details in due course.

In a multi story that I was using earlier this evening, the MOT ran out in May 24. I do find the car park ones odd, I've seen other seemingly abandoned cars in other car parks, I'd love to know the reasons.

A somewhat unbalanced duo which is acknowledged from the start in this head to head. I would never put these two on the same page and i found myself unpicking the Porsche rather than comparing it to the Morgan. Despite the indifferences the 911 wins out.

I got the make and basic model in three - not Cardle's answer though. Ironically I intended to type in Challenger but ended up typing Charger for some reason - so I got it right by default!

If its styling fuses a little 6GT with a little 720S, I can't see it going far wrong.Building an SUV is a sad but perhaps necessary evil. Performance manufacturers should really look at a different set of priorities to luxury marques. A McLaren, Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche, or even Bentley SUV should be something that could conceivably win a race. Make the body low and wide, and if it has to be jacked up, make it jacked up for sand dunes and mud pits, not Kensington kerbs and speedbumps. Most importantly, make it weigh less! Else there's no S about it, it's just a big fat squishy UV.
