Also a little money saving tip for anyone who has a fleet of cars and consumes a lot of screenwash. Bonnymans super ultra screenwash. Stupid name but highly cost effective. 5l for £16 plus roughly the same p&p so £30 all in. At its recommended winter dilution ratio of 2% that 5l will make 250l of winter screenwash. 12p per litre. Don’t think theres anything cheaper available.

A big jump up over a good summer tyre like ps4s or cup2. They warm up quickly and the grip doesn’t deteriorate after multiple heat cycles. They are also usable in rain if caught out. I wouldn’t be bombing down the outside lane in a rain storm but you wont die if you keep sensible. Road noise is also fine. You can hear the chippings being picked up but they don’t have a deafening rawr like a Nankang. Expensive yes, but should last a couple years with my use profile. Plus they look good on a car. Which as we all know is a big factor. Ill fit them after winter to stop flat spotting them whilst the car is in winter storage.

Been an expensive week so far. Monday was monies and quotes concerning day one of buying a house, plus it peed down with rain all day. Yesterday was a lovely sunny day so in order to save money and take the little 4 month old Mazda for a spin, I decided to return my wrong prescription glasses to the factory in Amersham by hand. Oh how I now regret that Funny thing is I'm normally naughty in the 2 seater but I didn't go crazy on that bit of the M3 from Sunbury to the M25 junction. Enjoyed sitting at the limit and then the 60mph limits, followed by the 40mph limits. A mile from the turning west

Writing the title made me wonder how many rear engined coupes have existed. I got 911 (obviously), some Alpines, Delorean, Fiat / Abarth versions of the 850. I'm debating what I do with a speedo conversion. Plus point with the Lockwood is you get mph and kph whereas converting it on the CAN leaves you with mph only. Or I could just leave it in Km. I'm fairly used to doing it in my head that way around. Of course, there was an incident in the Forester where I forgot it was converted and I took it up to an indicated 100 thinking 'this feels strangely fast'
