Not everyone will be on board with the use of Electric motors, but if you want something big and off-road capable, I think it's a pretty good use case, and the result is pretty peerless.Also, I'm not normally a fan of NC's writing, but this write-up was a lot easier to digest than normal! Good one.

So if you embed the screen, which would be far more pleasant then the operator has to lean too far forward, especially if one of those half sized chaps. It's also the generation of car where society was trapped in that minimalist, be terrified of old fashioned systems lunacy. I'd expect the next generation of Range Rover to reflect the common sense that luxury doesn't stem from fannying about with a screen to do a simple task but rather to make that task immensely simple by putting it in a dial or switch but I'm not sure how they will be able to embed the screen without making the front space more cosseting?I'd also choose the petrol Cayenne bit it is a completely different product for a different job. The Cayenne is outstanding for pressing on and being a bit childish whereas the RR is premium at the opposite. Also, the RR is an SUV whereas the Cayenne today is very much a crossover or over sized hatchback. Given that the best way to enjoy a Range Rover is to have a nice German car sat next to it for alternate duties then the obvious solution is one of each.

If its styling fuses a little 6GT with a little 720S, I can't see it going far wrong.Building an SUV is a sad but perhaps necessary evil. Performance manufacturers should really look at a different set of priorities to luxury marques. A McLaren, Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche, or even Bentley SUV should be something that could conceivably win a race. Make the body low and wide, and if it has to be jacked up, make it jacked up for sand dunes and mud pits, not Kensington kerbs and speedbumps. Most importantly, make it weigh less! Else there's no S about it, it's just a big fat squishy UV.
Writing the title made me wonder how many rear engined coupes have existed. I got 911 (obviously), some Alpines, Delorean, Fiat / Abarth versions of the 850. There must be more.But this is none of those. Its Japanese, made in the '80s and sold here in reasonable numbers. But they are now firmly in the category of 'rare but nobody gives a st'. And only a handful remain. It's a car I've had a yearning to own and got outbid on one at auction many years ago. I got the make and basic model in three - not Cardle's answer though. Ironically I intended to type in Challenger but ended up typing Charger for some reason - so I got it right by default!
