back in early 2000s by mother (around 75 then) decided she needs to get a automatic car because of a Knee problem. we had a look around and I found a 94 Clio 1.4 petrol with only 32K on the clock and very very good condition. we bought it and she gave away her old Volvo 340 to a family friend, it was a good little run around. however at some point the gearbox was misbehaving and it was found the the "vacuum modulator" was on its way out. a small part and not very much but of course Renault didnt have any, or breakers yard.. I contacted Renault owners UK and they found the part from a French member (thanks) however this also had a small leak. ultimately we found a guy who had a brand new boxed part. paid a fair bit higher for it but it was fitted and everything worked as normal.when she was thinking about stopping driving (aged about 82) I had a my eye on it as a run around. unfortunately, some months later she had a small parking accident with a wall... insurance wrote it off.cool story bro... etc.,
