I looked at one of these on Monday, really nice car good spec etc 22 plate with 35,000 miles, at £26k. Private sale.Spoke to the owner on Sunday and he said he was going by on Monday morning and show it to me. However reading the add again before he arrived I spotted it was a cat S.Having watched quite a few YouTube vids I thought why not I’ll have a look.Car vertical check was £35 so I thought I’d leave that to see if I liked it but also hoped the the owner would have pics of the repair etc.So the car turned up and it was very nice, but when I questioned the repair I felt he was stalling, he then said there were a few upgrades done at the time.What were they I asked?Again he was a bit illusive, then said more aggressive bumpers and full panoramic sunroof!Now this sent me into “WHAT!”To my mind this would only happen if the car was re shelled, and then only with some dodgy goings on, having followed the M3 story on Mat Armstrongs channel, so anyone think I’m daft walking away?(This was a petrol hybrid version)

Writing the title made me wonder how many rear engined coupes have existed. I got 911 (obviously), some Alpines, Delorean, Fiat / Abarth versions of the 850. There must be more.But this is none of those. Its Japanese, made in the '80s and sold here in reasonable numbers. But they are now firmly in the category of 'rare but nobody gives a st'. I'm debating what I do with a speedo conversion. Plus point with the Lockwood is you get mph and kph whereas converting it on the CAN leaves you with mph only. Or I could just leave it in Km. I'm fairly used to doing it in my head that way around. Of course, there was an incident in the Forester where I forgot it was converted and I took it up to an indicated 100 thinking 'this feels strangely fast'
