디젤 엔진 런어웨이 - 정의 및 증상 디젤 엔진이 제어 불가능하게 RPM이 올라가는 현상. 엔진이 의도하지 않은 연료를 받으면서 RPM과 출력이 증가하는 상태.
처리 내용
디젤 엔진에는 물리적 스로틀이 없고 연료 분사량으로만 출력을 제어함. 공기는 항상 공급되므로 계량되지 않은 연료가 들어가면 엔진 RPM과 출력이 증가함. 주요 원인: - 블로우바이 오일 - 마모된 터보차저에서 새는 오일 - 인테이크 매니폴드에 고인 엔진오일 발생 메커니즘: 저부하 고RPM 운전 중 엔진오일이 흡입됨. 일반적으로 무부하 상태에서 엔진을 고회전시킬 때 시작되며, 런어웨이가 시작되면 매니폴드의 높은 기류가 고인 오일을 계속 빨아들임. 엔진오일이 디젤유보다 연소성이 낮지만 따뜻한 엔진에서는 충분히 연소되어 최고RPM에 도달함. 예방 정비: - 마모된 부품 검사 및 수리 - 피스톤 링과 터보차저에 특별히 주의 설계 개선: 인테이크 내 오일 고임 공간을 제거하여 유입 오일을 점진적으로 처리하도록 함. 런어웨이 중단 방법: - 인테이크 플러깅 - 압축실 개방

Writing the title made me wonder how many rear engined coupes have existed. I got 911 (obviously), some Alpines, Delorean, Fiat / Abarth versions of the 850. I'm debating what I do with a speedo conversion. Plus point with the Lockwood is you get mph and kph whereas converting it on the CAN leaves you with mph only. Or I could just leave it in Km. I'm fairly used to doing it in my head that way around. Of course, there was an incident in the Forester where I forgot it was converted and I took it up to an indicated 100 thinking 'this feels strangely fast'
