증상

BMW 420d xDrive의 앞뒤 타이어 공기압이 다른 이유를 알고 싶음. 무게 분배만 영향을 미치는 줄 알았는데, 실제로는 뒤쪽 공기압이 더 높아야 함. 앞쪽이 무거울 것으로 예상되는데 왜 뒤쪽이 더 높은지 의문.

처리 내용

많은 BMW 모델(4시리즈 포함)의 무게 분배는 앞뒤 액슬이 50:50으로 균등함. (카브리올레는 뒤쪽이 더 무거울 수 있음) 무게는 타이어 공기압 차이의 한 가지 원인이지만 유일한 원인은 아님. 앞바퀴는 조향 기능을 담당하고, xDrive는 상시 사륜구동으로 그립 상태에 따라 토크를 분배함(기본값 40:60 리어 바이어스). 서스펜션 기하구조도 앞뒤가 크게 다름. 따라서 앞뒤 액슬의 타이어에 가해지는 부하가 상당히 다르며, BMW는 원하는 핸들링 특성을 제공하기 위해 권장 공기압을 결정할 때 이 모든 요소를 고려했음.
