That’s looks fantastic , congrats and wishing you health to drive and enjoy ! I thought the car looked a little short in length from door to rear bumper compared to other mid engined sports/supercars but I really need to see one in the flesh as photos seldom do these things justice. Seems a compelling package at £80-90k, Harry Metcalfe is smitten which is a very good sign.
Well after a few short blats over the Christmas and New Year Period another 400 mile trip across France back to UK yesterday in shocking weather.Left at 5am in the dark at 5 degrees in biblical rain where the road/sky/rain just seems to converge in the headlights into one big mess! Running Sports chassis with Pilot Sport Cup2's remember!!Car continues to be faultless apart from the odd wiper glitch which is a known fault and I will get attended to next week hopefully at Hethel. There is also some road/wind noise coming from lower down behind me, especially in the wet. I know there is an 'open air' or some such description KEF sub which got built into the tub and it sounds like it comes from that general direction. Will raise it with Hethel.I also now know that when the fuel gauge drops to below 20KM left it suddenly goes to 0KM and then a red warning triange comes up with the message 'FUEL TANK EMPTY'. Massive rookie error as I passed a services on autoroute with 100KM left until empty ... and then found that the next services at 8am on a Sunday morning was in fact 100KM away. Literally dared not to breathe for the last bit, coasting in neutral / air con off etc etc. Some points of note, now run in but not yet fully able to give it beans due to the weather but from the few occassions I have extended it past the 4500rpm running in limit it feels like a sustained linear powerband. Also, seats getting more and more comfortable and the sound on the KEF getting more and more agreeable as the speakers get run in. The car itself also sounds lovely - few people on forums have commented that it is too quiet but to me it is perfect - a lovely crisp V6 howl with distinctly different tones and volume from 'Tour' to 'Sport'.The LED lights are amazing - they really have corrected a previous Lotus weak point and then some! Also the grip the thing finds is astonishing - in the worst possible conditions for the tyres I have yet to be caught out. My 911 wouldn't see which way thi

Writing the title made me wonder how many rear engined coupes have existed. I got 911 (obviously), some Alpines, Delorean, Fiat / Abarth versions of the 850. There must be more. But this is none of those. Its Japanese, made in the '80s and sold here in reasonable numbers. But they are now firmly in the category of 'rare but nobody gives a st'. And only a handful remain. It's a car I've had a yearning to own and got outbid on one at auction many years ago. More recently I contacted a seller on FB, we agreed a price and then he blocked me...So I broke the first rule of car buying and bought one s

I'm debating what I do with a speedo conversion. Plus point with the Lockwood is you get mph and kph whereas converting it on the CAN leaves you with mph only. Or I could just leave it in Km. I'm fairly used to doing it in my head that way around. Of course, there was an incident in the Forester where I forgot it was converted and I took it up to an indicated 100 thinking 'this feels strangely fast'
