Where I live, Teslas are the biggest issue when it comes to accelerating far too quickly in 30mph zones, as they are cheap, powerful and quiet. There are some ICE cars driven my knobheads, and while they are more annoyingly noisy and often polluting (with bad tunes), you do hear them coming.And yes, it is unfair that who can own a powerful car is decided by price. But that is capitalism. If you don't like that, vote differently. Or better still, go out and riot.I never said we should ban any cars (Otolith said that). Once again, I said that manufacturers should show some restraint or the authorities will put a limit on power. That is not me advocating this.The point I'm trying to make is that a BMW 140i in the wrong hands can be just as lethal, and probably more so than a Tesla model 3. EVs do accelerate quickly from 0-40 but it would be rare for one of them to lose the back end doing so. The stereotype I'm making here is jack-the-lad 5 up in the Beemer saying 'watch this' and a few seconds later one or more of his occupants don't make it home that night and a massive tree has some bark missing from it.Your concern seems to be more about pedestrians and or other road users, I assume that's correct?As for knobheads, I'm not sure that the power rating of the car has much to do with how aggressive they drive, if anything, y
