Well time has moved on and the Lexus is still running well, have just had a major service done at Lexus Hedge End and the only issue was that the tread on all tyres was getting low. Very impressed with Lexus Hedge End who even go so far as to change the battery in the key fob and give me a new battery for the spare fob.After the service got her booked in to have new tyres all round, the last set were from new and had done 45,000 miles over the last 6 1/2 years so had done very well.New Kumho's have gone on as I don't do track days or max it out on the autobahn!Remain very happy with the car, t

I'm now almost 5 months into ownership of my 2017 and honestly cant see what I would replace it with...the best car ive ever driven. The looks still blow me away every day...have only seen another 2 so far on the road. The way it drives is perfect for me and ive never felt it lacked power, especially in sport+ mode. Have gotten to grips well with the e-cvt and I love how the car can have so many different personalities, if thats the right word?? When in traffic, i usually put it into normal mode, or if very busy queuing, I run it on eco or ev mode, so use barely any fuel. When i get out of traffic and joining a motorway or on a b road, I'll switch it up onto sport+. If the motorway is busy and flowing at around 40-50mph, normal mode for pure comfort and great mpg (regularly slips back into ev mode at 45mph if on the flat)...ive been averaging 40mpg so far, but on a run can do much more. The seats are the most comfortable and supportive seats ive ever sat in and the premium sound system (not marc levinson) is perfectly adequate and sounds amazing. The infotainment system is rubbish, but once set how i like it, i barley touch it and just use Google maps/waze on my phone for sat nav if required.Ive been approached in car parks twice now with people wanting to tell me great it looks and asking about it, which i dont mind...never had that with another car before. It such an underrated car and people tend to look at the 0...60mph times and write it off, but thats not the point of this car...sure, a 4 series, a5 or c250 would be quicker off the line, but would it make every drive feel special and would you still be turning round to look at it every time you get out??Edited by mickyc79 on Thursday 5th November 10:32Edited by mickyc79 on Thursday 5th November 10:34
