증상
배기 매니폴드(주철 제조)에 O2 센서를 장착해야 하는데, 주철에 용접할 수 없음. 근처 정비소도 주철 용접이 불가능. 플랜지 근처 평면 부분에 18mm x 1.5 나사 구멍을 뚫고 태핑(탭핑)할 수 있는지 궁금함. 주철 매니폴드를 드릴링하고 태핑할 때 주의사항이 필요한지 확인 필요.
처리 내용
주철에 드릴링 및 태핑은 가능함. 강철보다는 취성이 있지만 작업 속도를 크게 늦추지는 않음. 다른 방법으로는 스틸 파이프가 시작되는 아래쪽(y-pipe 연결 부분)에 용접하는 것도 옵션. O2 센서 위치는 촉매 변환기 전이면 상관없음. 매니폴드 파이프 안에 설치하면 해당 실린더에 약간의 제한이 발생하지만 미미한 수준. 주철 매니폴드에 뚫어도 괜찮음.
