What I don't like is government regulation forcing EVs on us, nor do I like that manufacturers - due in part to government - are taking away choice and building highly undesirable cars with far too much tech (incl EVs which combine far too much tech with a drive-train I don't want)(2) EVs are quiet and comfortable and easy to drive, hence they suit all the sheeple who don't care about driving and they suit me because commutes are rubbish and I have 14 supercars to use at weekends and I have a massive dick. I don't care that people are losing their ability to buy a fairly modern simple manual petrol car due to none being made for years. I don't care if you think many modern EVs are massive, and heavy and ugly - they the new thing and the new thing is always good because it's the new thing.(1) - i dont think too many people buy / lease / PCP them because they're environmentally friendly. I think thats way down the list.(2) - Why do they have to be "sheeple"? I would say quite a few car enthusiasts - on here and in the real world - enjoy driving a car that is quiet and comfortable and easy to drive, particularly for dull commuting runs. Isnt there someone who mentioned having a GT3 but enjoys commuting in their EV?People lost their ability to buy a fairly simple, mass produced manual petrol car quite a few years back. But there are still options without getting yourself all upset.
