Torque steer is where a front wheel drive car pulls to the left or right under hard acceleration. This is relatively common in older front wheel drive cars, but as it is negligible in low powered cars it was not an issue. The problem comes when you have a high powered engine and all of a sudden torque steer can be rather spectacular. It is caused by one half shaft being shorter, and at a different angle to the other, on a transverse-engined car. The fix is to ensure the half shafts are identical. Hi Im working on ford mondeo mk4 and so far discovered that there are multiple communication faults. Checked the resistance, voltage… On osciloscope can high and can low are good but occasionally the network spikes and also the relay of glowplugs starts clicking for few seconds. This happens at random time but also when i open/close doors. When i turn the ignition on the relay is also clicking and also i can hear air intake actuator goes on and off. The thing is… I think that these things are only symptoms, tried many things but I dont know where else to go. What could produce these faults. Th
Hi, my ford is doing weird things and PCM or ecm is not communicating properly(when i connect to ecm after few seconds i have to reconnect). At random times relay in engine bay relay of glowplugs starts to click for few seconds and stops. This also occurs when i open or close front doors. When i turn igniton on this relays starts to click always and also the valve air intake is opening and closing without a break. Checked the grounds, the ecm was already changed and nothing changed. I think it could be wiring issue but dont know where to start checking. Any suggestions? Thanks
I drive a Ford Fiesta which has clocked 110 000km total. When I cross 100-120km/h on a smooth road, the steering wheel starts to vibrate, and the vibration reduces when I reduce my speed. I guessed the problem was in the tires, so I replaced the front tires with new ones, but I still get that vibration at high speeds. I also get these vibrations when I drive at high speed and suddenly slow down towards a bump. Can someone give me an idea for a solution?

I have a 2005 Camry that I don’t plan on driving much. First time I have had to consider time recommendations over mileage. Should all time constrained maintenance, such as changing your oil once every 6 months (even if you don’t go 5000 miles in that time) be strictly followed? My wife’s car is a 2007 Corolla. She told me the car is making a noise that sounds like a shifting bag of rice. I rode in the car and we stopped at the end of the street and then started into a left-handed u-turn and it sounded to me like we ran over some light gravel/sand on the right-front, but we didn’t - that was the sound. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Happens when giving it gas while going into a sharp turn - either direction. She’s not sure that it happens 100% every time, but it does happen regularly. Hoping someone else here has experienced this sound before and can tell me what it is. Thank you

This is in regard to a 1993 Dodge Shadow with a 2.5L engine and 3-speed automatic transmission. When the engine is running, the transmission fluid leaks between the engine and transmission. Is there a replaceable seal, or does the torque converter itself need to be replaced? Once the motor and transmission are pulled, is it very difficult to remove and reinstall a torque converter onto a transmission? E.g. alignment.
