Alex_225 said: That is definitely a PH car OP! I absolutely love these, no they're not fast and they're not big and shouty but they are purposeful and they look really cool. I live out in Gloucestershire and love the idea of having one as a runabout. Any pictures of the interior too? Some (murky) interior pictures as requested. You can also see the enormous boot…
2800 miles covered since I collected the Jimny and not an awful lot to report.I ve added roof bars and a bike carrier so it can transport my mountain bike and I also bought a load mat for the rear as the back seats fold down to give a completely flat load area. This makes up for the tiny boot and can be converted in seconds so generally makes the car more versatile. The Jimny has also been away for a week recently to have its full underbody treated with Dinitrol. This is also injected into the chassis cavities etc so should now be weather/rust-proof for a good few years. The next job will be getting it in for its first annual service in a couple of months but I ll also get the diff oils changed for peace of mind.Spending some time adjusting the tyre pressures has positively transformed the way the car behaves around town and on the motorway. It s now way less fidgety and far more relaxing to drive. No other issues at all and it still attracts a lot of positive attention and puts a smile on my face every time I drive it.My only minor gripe is with the infotainment system. It s fitted with an aftermarket XTrons system which I think is a bit naff & clunky in its operation although it does look well integrated on the looks front (ie like an OEM factory fitment). The built in microphone also barely picks up any speech while on a call unless stationary which is irritating. I believe you can fit an external mic to alleviate this but I m thinking about changing the whole unit for something better (if it exists that is) but I m going to do a some more research before making my mind up.I m heartened to see that Suzuki are still building the Jimny for other markets like Australia and that they ve actually just given it a 2027 update with a few more features. Long may that continue.Still love the little thing

Writing the title made me wonder how many rear engined coupes have existed. I got 911 (obviously), some Alpines, Delorean, Fiat / Abarth versions of the 850. There must be more. But this is none of those. Its Japanese, made in the '80s and sold here in reasonable numbers. But they are now firmly in the category of 'rare but nobody gives a st'. And only a handful remain. It's a car I've had a yearning to own and got outbid on one at auction many years ago. More recently I contacted a seller on FB, we agreed a price and then he blocked me...So I broke the first rule of car buying and bought one s

I'm debating what I do with a speedo conversion. Plus point with the Lockwood is you get mph and kph whereas converting it on the CAN leaves you with mph only. Or I could just leave it in Km. I'm fairly used to doing it in my head that way around. Of course, there was an incident in the Forester where I forgot it was converted and I took it up to an indicated 100 thinking 'this feels strangely fast'
