It was still windy as hell this afternoon, so still no chance to change the oil. The wind has calmed down now and I m hoping it ll be the sane tomorrow. I did however manage to do some faffing.I mashed to sort the club door open warning light; when the door jammed at the weekend I had to access the top latch and remove it and I basically hasn t put it back on place quite quite. The source of m frustration.The front dome lights still aren t playing ball, so there is still something up but at least there s no light on the dash. Next up was to faff with the rear lights because one of the bulbs was out according to the dash at least. I thought it was the rear fog light but it turns out it was the drivers side rear brake light. After removing the light, I soon saw something odd.The top light, which happens to be the brake light looks to have got hot and melted the plastic. LCI rear lights are annoyingly loads more expensive than pre-LCI lights (£90 vs. £20) so I thought I d do what I could to get it working. I filed the hole for the light down so the light holder fitted without being force in place. The metal contact ring was bent up, so I bent that back into position. The bulb looked a bit dark, so that would need replacing (which I did tonight and I now have a work in rear brake light).In the middle of the above, the cream lower dash trims arrived so I dived into fitting them. Courtesy of a YT video, it was pretty straightforward, although there are quite a few T20 screws hidden behind other bits of trim which is annoying.I started with the piece under the glove box.To get at one of the screws, the end air vent needs removing.The air vent next to the Speedo needs loosening and then it can be bent out of the way to gain access. There are three T20 screws accessed via the glove box.Once out, the button for the box box just pops out.First bit of trim in place.The dash cam cable was removed whilst I was here. It d only been tucked behind trim so was easy to pull out.Puttin
