증상
2008 아우디 S5 4.2L - 엔진/트랜스미션 근처 하단부에서 오일 누수 발생. 엔진베이 상단에서 심각한 누수로 보임. 후부 메인 실, 타이밍 커버 가스켓, 밸브 커버 가스켓 중 정확한 원인 불명확. 밸브 커버 가스켓(11번 부품 - 밸브 커버 아래 가이드 프레임 위)과 가이드 프레임 아래 헤드 사이 가스켓에서 누수 의심.
처리 내용
액체는 누수 지점에서 아래로 흘러내리므로 정확한 위치 파악이 어려움. 밸브 커버가 이러한 유형 누수의 주요 원인일 가능성 높음. 누수 부위를 세척한 후 형광 염료(형광 오일 첨가제)를 오일에 첨가하여 정확한 누수 위치를 파악할 것을 권장. UV 안경과 라이트를 함께 사용하면 누수 부위를 명확하게 확인 가능. 염료 키트(염료, 라이트, UV 안경 포함)는 비교적 저렴한 가격에 구입 가능하며, 오래된 차량의 누수 진단에 매우 유용한 도구임.

2000 Honda Civic VTi 쿠페. 엔진오일을 보충한 후 10마일 주행했다가 정차 후 귀로에 올랐고, 1주일 동안 주차해둔 상태였음. 복귀했을 때 보닛이 약간 열려있었고(래치로 열 때처럼 완전히 열리지 않음) 엔진오일 필러캡이 없어짐. 오일 보충 후 캡을 덮지 않았을 가능성이 있지만, 주행 중에 보닛이 튀어오르지 않았음. 오일이 분출될 것으로 예상했으나 디프스틱 확인 결과... (문장 미완성)
