장거감 여행(추수감사절) 준비 중인 고마일리지 차량(쉐보레 4.3L, 265,000마일) - 현재 정상 작동 중이며 특별한 우려사항 없음. 액체 수준 확인 완료, 타이어 공기압 점검 예정. MaxLife 5W/30 고마일리지 오일 사용 중, 현재 서비스 간격 1,500마일 경과(왕복 후 약 4,000마일 도달 예상).

2013 VW Jetta TDI 후륜 브레이크 패드와 로터 교체 중 로터 페이스의 세트 스크류/정렬 스크류 타입 불명확. 6포인트 헤드로 토르크스로 추정되나 T25는 너무 작고 T27은 너무 큼. VW 서비스에서는 T30이라고 하지만 T27이 이미 너무 비대함.

타이밍벨트 교환

2007 아웃백 EJ253 엔진 교체 후 냉간 시동 및 온간 시동 모두 정상. 냉간 상태에서는 충분한 출력 있으나 엔진이 워밍업되면서 출력 감소. 센서 및 스로틀바디 개별 교체했으나 변화 없음. 결함 코드 없음.

Stanley FATMAX RE-CHARGE 8AMP 자동 배터리 충전기로 충전 중 배터리 전압이 13V 중반에서 시작하여 현재 12.5V 정도로 측정됨. 충전기는 3단계 작동 상태(전압 감지, 노란색 LED의 8A 급속 충전, 초록색 LED의 2A 유지 충전)를 가짐. 2008 Jetta의 12V 소켓 테스터로 엔진 구동 중 13.7~14.2V를 측정했음.

1997년식 · 1세대 (1993-1997) · 2.4 XE

변속기 오일 교환

1997년 닛산 D21 4x4 트랜스미션 오일 교환 후 변속이 매우 거칠어짐. 공장 서비스 매뉴얼 사양에 따라 클러치 페달을 조정했으나 개선 없음. 모든 기어 진입 시 스틱이 갈리고 저항이 있음.

점프팩으로 시동을 걸려다 극성을 반대로 연결하여 스타터 양극 배선이 타서 끊어졌고 메인 퓨즈도 끊어짐. 배선과 퓨즈를 교체했으나 연료펌프가 작동하지 않고 점화 스위치를 켰을 때 스타터 배선에 전류가 흐르지 않음. 스타터는 정상이며 배터리에서 스타터로 직접 배선하면 엔진이 돌아감.

배터리 교환

극저온(32°F 이하) 밤 후 아침에 시동을 걸 때 배터리가 "방전"되는 현상 발생. 2013 현대 제네시스 3.8L V6 4도어 세단. 시동 버튼을 누르면 클릭음이 난 후 모든 전력이 차단됨. 양(+) 배터리 케이블을 손으로 눌러주면 정상 작동

토요타 RAV4

2007년식 · XA30 3세대 (2005-2012) · 2.4 기본형

타이어 교환

딜러십 검사에서 우측 전방 내측 타이로드(inner tie rod)가 헐거워졌다고 지적받음. 딜러가 2007 RAV 4의 경우 내측 타이로드만 교체 불가능하고 스티어링 랙 전체 교체($2,500)를 권장함. 다른 정비소에서는 내측 타이로드 교체가 간단하고 저렴하다고 함.

얼음비 속에서 스핀아웃하여 도랑에 빠짐. 시속 60에서 45로 감속 중 차량이 회전하여 어깨 부분(연한 흙)에 올라가 앞 타이어가 묻힘. 그 이후로 시속 45 이상에서 진동 발생, 스티어링 유격 증가. 차종: 2003 미쓰비시. 타이어 또는 얼라인먼트 문제로 추정.

고속도로 순항 중 가솔린 엔진의 피스톤이 거의 닫힌 스로틀을 통해 공기를 빨아들이면서 발생하는 펌핑 손실. 예를 들어, 5단 변속기에 6단을 추가하면 시속 65마일에서 풀 스로틀 상태에서도 차량을 일정한 속도로 유지하거나 약간만 가속할 수 있어서 스로틀이 거의 열리지 않은 상태에서의 펌핑 손실을 줄일 수 있을 것으로 예상됨.

미분류

1984 Ranger 2.8L V6에서 오일 및 필터 교환 후 오일 압력 게이지가 중간 위치에서 시작했으나 수주 후 저압 영역으로 떨어짐. 디프스틱 확인 결과 오일량은 충분한 상태.

드라이브샤프트 교환

2000 Silverado Z71에서 리프트 블록을 제거한 후 새 U볼트를 설치하려던 중, 드라이브샤프트와 액슬이 트랜스미션에서 뒤로 밀려나갔습니다. 그 결과 리프 스프링 하단의 핀이 더 이상 액슬 플레이트 상단의 홀과 정렬되지 않습니다. 잭과 2개의 잭 스탠드만 사용 가능하며, 액슬을 앞으로 밀어서 핀과 홀을 정렬할 방법을 찾을 수 없습니다.

브레이크 패드를 교체한 후에도 앞 브레이크에서 검은 가루가 계속 나오고 연기가 나는 증상. 짧은 거리 주행 후에도 림에 검은 가루가 보임.

I’d been trying hard to manage without one as my daily driver, but not helped by the excellent Stick Legs thread on here, I cracked and got another one.Quick photo:Potted version of my Land-Rover history. After growing up around them and liking them forever, I held out until the age of 43 before I got one in September 2017. A January 2004 L322 V8 petrol with a FSH and 167,000 miles bought for £4,500 from a dealer near Swindon. Following appropriate man maths it was bought instead of spending £3k on winter wheels and tyres for the E Class

The oil price is well down around $66 a barrel. And the £ is worth nearly $1.30 these are the two things that normally go agaisnt us but both are the right way.So why is the pump price still high?

I went out with a young lady who behaved exactly like that when I was 25. I had my own car and she had hers but it was my job to look after both! After having to avert a mechanical disaster one too many times I told her straight that she was on her own for her car and that if she was worried about anything she should take it to her local garage (which was run by a friend of hers). Only took 3 weeks before I got a call about her being stranded after something had gone pop under the bonnet and progress was no longer an option. Could somebody give me a little guidance and how this would work. Car A is on my driveway that I want to swap for car B which we will be meeting half way, car B is taxed and previous owner will cancel tax after we get back from the swap. Temp insurance will be used.Car A has no insurance or tax. Insurance as said I will just use temp cover. Do I just tax the car as normal and then cancel once I am home, shame to lose 35 quid just for a 40 minute drive.

Right then... It's all been a bit shuffle and move these last couple of weeks. As some may have seen in my other threads my SL500 went to a new home which freed up some cash to go in the Caterham fund. Ever since selling my old 310R I've bitterly regretted doing so.
