I think this is a great shed for someone who just sticks to town use. Was even thinking of getting my daughter one (or a Zoe) because she never does more than 15 miles in one round trip and can only drive automatic (getting a cheap ICE auto is like trying to find rocking horse poo). She could charge at home or using the charger at the pub she works for. I honestly think for someone like that its a safer bet than the equivalent 15 year old ICE Honda Jazz Auto or Yaris Auto (which seem to be the main small cheap sub £2.5K autos that pop up on market place) as you've no oil, water, cambelt, etc t

It will load balance the cells when AC charging if you let it. My wife's EV is over five years old, been mainly charged on AC (a couple of handfuls of DC charge). It was recently reporting 359kms from a full charge. I got that up to 464kms by charging to a schedule using an 11kW AC charger. KIA claim 450kms from new. What made me look at this was the regeneration from the paddles was not working as expected. Level 3 normally brings the car down to walking pace regardless of level, uphill or downhill slope. There was no regen pulling off a motorway on the sliproad. This indicated the battery was out of balance and behaving according to the weakest cells in the cluster. The Nissan has a 3.3kW inverter, 6.6kW was an option don't know how many ticked that box. By following a schedule and watching the dash it is possible some extra range can be recovered. Interesting stuff. So how do you "let it" do the load balancing? What do you mean "to a schedule"? Is 11kW the fastest ones? Sorry, am new to charging cars. For reference, I have a Golf PHEV, max is 13A input, 3.6 kW. Does this mean I can't do what you did?

It's infinite as long as we have energy. You can create it at home if you feel inclinedElectric motors are far superior to ICE in the majority of applications. On top of that they

Its utterly pointless if you think about it, extra legislation and checks for a mode of propulsion that will die out anyway in a few years. There is a ban looming for combustion engines, electric cars are getting more popular and the downsides are being ironed out.Maybe just enforce whats already there better ? Didnt people vote out of the EU due to this kind of meddling ?I wouldnt say its "pointless" doing anything because India and China dont bother, its a global thing but its mainly our local air quality and really, those countries will need to see someone else doing stuff so they perhaps re
