It had a jukebox full of good music, didn't quibble about the legality of serving a snakebite and black, gigs occasionally and they understood that occasionally moshing happens.When the local scaffolders and tarmac application technicians ended up banned from every other pub in town, they started coming in to ours. At first it was fine, they were mostly harmless, but one week they started bringing cocaine. They didn't want to do it in the gents (smelly) so started doing it in the ladies'. The girls felt uncomfortable. So words were had. Coked up scaffolders/travellers don't like being informed of the errors of their ways, so there was a small scuffle. The next week there was a bad fight, I had to call the police because it was getting out of hand. Landlord was out of his depth, he didn't know how to deal with it.A few of us went round in the daytime to explain to the landlord that he needed to do something about them, he told us to fk off. So we found a different pub, and very quickly the old pub found that exchanging 50-odd regular drinkers with a handful of coke addicts who brought their own drugs wasn't good for business. Another pu
