증상
오일 교환 후 36일, 2500마일 주행 후 오일 드레인 플러그가 빠져나가 엔진에 심각한 손상 발생. 플러그가 빠지기 전까지 오일 누유 징후나 주차장/직장 주차 공간에서 오일 흔적 없음. 오일 교환점(퀵 루브 숍)과 그들의 보험사가 책임 부인.
처리 내용
플러그가 빠지는 원인으로 예상되는 경우: 1) 단거리 주행이 많아 오일팬과 오일이 충분히 가열되지 않다가 35일 후 장거리 주행으로 고온 상태가 되면서 플러그가 풀려 빠져나감. 2) 크랭크케이스 환기 장치의 결함과 손상된 드레인 플러그 O-링이 함께 작용하여 결국 플러그가 느슨해져 빠져나감. 두 시나리오 모두 가능성이 낮은 것으로 판단됨.

Its utterly pointless if you think about it, extra legislation and checks for a mode of propulsion that will die out anyway in a few years.There is a ban looming for combustion engines, electric cars are getting more popular and the downsides are being ironed out.Maybe just enforce whats already there better ?
