If they do renege on their offer (which I strongly expect they will given how cagey they have behaved so far) then you can start a claim through your insurance presumably? It's a stty situation to be in OP.If you tell your insurance at all you may as well just claim and let them sort it out because you are declaring an accident for the next 5 years anyway.Any effect on the daughter's insurance can be a bonus. Unless you very quickly

I will be in touch with a couple of quotes' so you have a written acknowledgement of their position, even if it is not a full admission. Many moons ago I owned a 156 SW V6 that I bought by accident but really should not have sold. 156 V6 It was a car that absolutely adored the noise and looks but that I never really trusted for main family car duties. It also seemed to be a magnet for other people to drive into. It was replaced by a surprisingly brilliant Octavia VRS which lacked the drama of the 156 but has been absolutely faultless for 6 years, massive inside, still relatively rapid and actually pretty good to look at too to my eye. The main problem with the Skoda is that s just a bit too good at what it does (a VRS Estat

The one thing embedded in my head from over forty years of motorcycling is always leave room for you to make that unexpected avoidance maneuver...or be killed, you build a kind of sixth sense observing what traffic does, its hard to explain but its there.I used to commute by bike on one of the most dangerous roads I've ever come across...the Edinburgh city by-pass, to say the standard of driving was horrendous would be an understatement, I kid you not there was a crash every other day, sometimes every day. Those bike skills of observation has served me very well over the years driving cars...I
