I'm a bit scared of high mileage cars, because I was born in the early 70's, but I would've been all over this when it was new though, although I'd prefer an auto I think with it being a diesel arguably. I love Audi's to live with and sit in, but they aren't always the most dynamic things to drive I've found, but design wise they're generally spot on though, and so is this for me. A cracking SOTW I reckon. Mine is sitting on 228k miles now Lee. My Mini is 150k miles. Mrs CRZ a baby at 80k miles.

I remember driving the 2006 E90 330d auto back in 2006 for example, and in my head at the time diesels were slow/smokey and generally a bit crap, but that 330d changed all that for me back then as you say. Plus we've stayed loyal to 3.0 6 cylinder diesels in new cars ever since as well. Diesel will obviously always get a kicking rightly or wrongly, but there are still things to like about them though for me(and my missus), their range and torque being the main ones in my view. Shifts ok for a shed - that s E46 330i performance - plus 4wd for the wet/snowSimilar numbers to the E9x 330d back then as well s m. I used to like the chunky feeling 369Ib/ft from the 330d back then too. Although that is someway down on the X5 40d that we have now at 531Ib/ft though.
