Maybe I should have bought an Asian car to be 110% reliable?In recent years Bmw has improved in reliability, but once again, the Bmw S5, especially the hybrid version, has several problems that can lead to fires.The issue is that in Europe, European luxury cars (especially German ones) have an image of superiority that they don't have in other parts of the World where people use cars more intensively, such as in the Middle East, Australia, or the USA.Customers expectations are higher when they buy a premium European brand which might account for some of the disparity. But sure, the Japenese and Koreans in particular seem to have reliability sorted. The Chinese, hmmmmmm let's see. But then again they are cheap, so disposable goods really.
