스타터 모터를 의도적으로 소모시킬 필요가 있는가?

스타터 모터는 연속 사용을 위해 설계되지 않았으며, 높은 전류로 인해 과열되므로 사용 후 식혀야 합니다. 과열되면 구리 코일의 에나멜 절연이 벗겨져 단락이 발생하거나 플라스틱 부품이 녹을 수 있습니다. 대부분의 자동차 매뉴얼에서는 스타터를 장시간 구동하지 않도록 지정하고 있습니다. 진단 시간을 단축하기 위한 것 이외에는 이렇게 할 이유가 없습니다. 스타터가 여전히 엔진을 시동할 수 있다면 문제없을 것입니다. 자신의 자동차를 소중히 다루지 않는 정비사에게는 다시 가지 않는 것이 좋습니다.

With the untimely death of my daily Ford Focus Estate Titanium X recently it was time to find a new daily. For those who have followed my previous MX-5 thread, you may remember that I was considering purchasing a new car for some time. The arrival of my son hadn't forced my hand per-se (we have another family car), but with the MX-5 being a two-seater, it's become such a lonely car.
