Especially the kids?Everyone is fine now thanks.I was unconscious for about 30 minutes. Wife was knocked around and bruised. My daughter who was sat in the rear near side was fine other than being very upset. But my Son who was sat in what used to be the rear offside had to be air lifted to hospital. Thankfully he pulled through and if fine now, but he was out cold for a few days. The impact was an estimated 60 mph. I was sitting at the back of a traffic jam and the approaching driver (VW Passat) didn't see the back of the queue. I guess his attention was probably diverted elsewhere but we never found out.The only good thing to come from all this, is the sizeable compensation sitting in a child trust fund!lesson learned - I always approach stationary traffic slowly and consciously bring the vehicles behind into a controlled stop. I always watch them approach and give myself an escape route. I knew the guy was going to hit us but I didn't leave enough room to get out of the way Sickening story with the kids, you can't always prevent someone hitting you and like you say nice nest egg for the kids as some small silver lining. Glad you were all ok must have been a terrible time.
