예산이 매우 제한적이고 차량 상태를 크게 신경 쓰지 않으며 누수가 심하지 않다면 라디에이터에 붓는 '누수 정지' 제품을 사용해볼 수 있습니다. 계란흰자 같은 것도 일시적으로 작동할 수 있으며, 냉각수 시스템 전체에 "물질"을 코팅하여 작은 구멍을 막을 수 있습니다. 가장 좋은 방법은 정확한 누수 위치를 찾아 해당 부품을 수리하는 것입니다. 북미 도요타 차량의 경우 서모스탯이 라디에이터 호스 중 하나에 부착되어 엔진과 연결되어 있는 경우가 많습니다. 서모스탯 개스킷은 서모스탯 주위의 고무 "링"으로 교체하기 쉽지만 교체 중에 실수로 뒤틀려서 누수가 발생할 수도 있습니다.
