J4CKO said: Been using my lads 2013 Golf diesel this week as he is cling in London and it was turning green. So cleaned it, serviced it, sorted all the little niggles out.We bought it off next door, five years ago and the kids tend to sell it to each other every year.It was pre battered, owned by a lady at the end of her driving career and it came with a fair few dings despite only having 20k miles on it.Only the 1.6 so not very fast but being a DSG it makes the best of what power it does have.It s comfy and has high profile tyres dreadfully scabby wheels so no worries about kerbing, no worrie
Volvo content provider here...Current sheddy P3 V70 continues to defy the naysayers but having the good grace to not break down. Though its list of irritations is mounting. The NSF wheel bearing now whines louder than my 6yr old and the aircon pump remains seized... sadly ignoring both don't appear to be fixing them either. It's also still sat on four rubber dog crap 18" tyres which makes me gag too. And slightly worried as we're now firmly in grim weather season up here and they gave all the adhesion qualities of a suitably lubed otter. The V50 which kinda remains mine, as in I donated it to my sister a few months back but still get to fix it... it's doing what V50s do and simply shrugs off the ongoing abuse that only a mother and small children could inflict. It's MOT is due soon, like next week and it has an ABS issue that is 99% pointing towards a defective pump / module and that's £275 to repair and needs sent away to a man down south. Inclined to MOT it first and see how terrible it is before committing. In non shed life, my van can f right off... pretty sick of it now and keep trying to justify an S4 or something newer, faster as that window of opportunity I fear, is fading fast. So obviously been looking at old Volvo 850R too because that'd be a sensible purchase. My other eye remains firmly on the shedding market... no e if the recent PH utter drivel about old MGs from 1066AD and crap like that, but whilst stuff is out there, it's getting harder. My wife helpfully pointed out the current car situation seems to stress me out and why don't we just get something new. Karen has a Jaecoo and.... at which point I zoned out. Though I'll not lie bruv, there's part of me has heard worse ideas. Granted said ideas are things like slapping a bear or dangling your nuts in the deep fat fryer but still...

Been and collected it this lunchtime after another test drive and I read the codes whilst out & about and thankfully zero issues Will collect the 18" alloys & winter tyres ASAP and then sell the 403Ms off; they've just been refurbed but a) I don't like them that much, b) not a fan of black wheels at all and c) the RFTs are crap Parts already been ordered (OEM velour mats and M Sport grilles via Cotswolds BMW) and a full oil & filter change kit etcThe parts list will continue to grow haha

Had 3 variations of these - an XKR, M3 evo and 944 S2. No real wish to revisit any of them. The XKR was fine in a straight line but the front wheels always felt a long way away in the bends, the M3 had a lovely engine but handling was only so so. S2 was probably the best but would feel really old now. Would love to own an SZ one day, though probably only for a little while. Lower mileage examples for for between £60K and £80K at auction. A nice one went for £65k at Iconics in Nov with only 17k miles. Seats on this one look a little tired. I imagine it is a nightmare to get spares....

My Golf R cost me over 20p a mile (2015 fuel prices)Some of the fuel saving money goes into getting a better / more costly car, the rest goes on other things. The other point to makeIn 2012 the £22k BMW 1 Series cost me £430 per month. In 2026 the £70k Polestar 4 Dual Mot
