새 타이어 구매 시 판매자가 60,000마일 수명을 언급할 때의 의미 불명확. 타이어가 특정 두께(마모 패턴)에 도달할 때까지의 주행거리인지, 아니면 해당 마일리지 주변의 테스트된 고장률 기반인지 확인 필요. 회전·균형 조정을 규정 간격대로 수행해도 실제 타이어 수명을 못 미치는 경험 있음.
처리 내용
타이어 마일리지 워런티(보통 40,000~70,000마일)는 비례 배분형 트레드 수명 보증. 적절한 공기압 유지와 엄격한 일정에 따른 로테이션 시, 타이어는 최소 안전 트레드 깊이(2/32"에 도달할 때까지 표시된 마일리지를 주어야 함. 약속된 마일리수보다 수명이 단축되면, 로테이션 기록 확인 가능하고 트레드 마모 패턴에 공기압·정렬 문제가 없을 경우 워런티 클레임 대상 - 주행거리와 약속된 거리의 차이로 계산됨. 다만 모든 요건 충족이 어렵고, 실제 클레임 시 타이어 구매 가격의 약 20% 정도만 환급되어 대부분 청구하지 않음.

Friday and the first time I'm out for a drive by myself. BBB was hanging with the famalam in Hereford and then meeting me at the narrow boats down in Llangattock, so I was exploring South Wales via all the two lane B roads I could find.
