과도한 냉각수 팽창: Part 3
처리 내용
라디에이터 캡 불량이 의심됩니다. 캡에는 두 가지 밀봉 시스템이 있습니다. 하나는 고압(13~15 psi)을 유지하는 시스템입니다. 13psi에서 물은 245°F까지 끓지 않습니다. 다른 하나는 오버플로우 복귀 밀봉 시스템입니다. 엔진이 냉각되면서 오버플로우의 냉각수를 라디에이터로 되돌립니다. 이 작은 밸브가 열려 있는 상태로 고착되었을 가능성이 있습니다. 또한 고지대에 있어서 212°F(해수면에서의 물의 끓는점)보다 훨씬 낮은 온도에서 냉각수가 끓고 있을 것으로 추정됩니다. 저렴한 수리입니다. 참고: 900m 고도에서 물의 끓는점은 206.2°F / 96.2°C입니다. 이는 엔진의 정상 온도 범위입니다. 따라서 즉시 캡을 교체하세요. 라디에이터 캡의 결함을 육안으로 확인할 수 있을 것입니다. 주의: 냉각 시스템이 데워지는 데 15~20분이 걸리지만, 냉각에는 매우 오랜 시간이 걸립니다. 차량 냉각 후 냉각 시스템에 약간의 진공이 형성됩니다. 이 진공이 오버플로우 병의 냉각수를 빨아들입니다.

Been an expensive week so far. Monday was monies and quotes concerning day one of buying a house, plus it peed down with rain all day. Yesterday was a lovely sunny day so in order to save money and take the little 4 month old Mazda for a spin, I decided to return my wrong prescription glasses to the factory in Amersham by hand. Oh how I now regret that Funny thing is I'm normally naughty in the 2 seater but I didn't go crazy on that bit of the M3 from Sunbury to the M25 junction. Enjoyed sitting at the limit and then the 60mph limits, followed by the 40mph limits. A mile from the turning west

There is a specialist on Boxsters in Sunbury that has consistently good review and has set-up his own Facebook group where he gives advice and support to help people work on the Boxster - Paul Torque Boxster. I booked in for a minor service, to have the water pump, thermostat and coolant changed and the oil pressure relief valve changed to a later spec one. Paul suggested that I get a new oil filter canister as they need changing every few changes and I didnt know when it was last changed. I can help thinking Porsche parts might be a bit cheaper if they didnt give wrap them!
