So for all the lovely concepts, BMWs first step for Alpina ownership is "more of the same"?I'm not complaining, provided they stick to 3 and 5 series based cars too. If it just ends up being BMW's Maybach trim equivalent on 7ers and X7s, it'll be a bit disappointing.

This will likely be entry level for Alpina given the emissions regs in Europe. It won t be worth wasting their precious allocation of engines / fleet average CO2 on anything less than this sort of price point. We re seeing it with AMG too. No point putting a V8 in a C class and limiting themselves to £120k when they could stick it in a GT of some sort and charge £200k upwards for the same effect on their fleet average emissions.
