'the wife'... presumable akin to 'the fridge' or 'the dishwasher'... with that level of objectification, I'm surprised you're still married tbh!
My wife killed the front nearside tyre against a curb so I had to drive out and take over while she went home. The tyre was unrepairable and as per modern cars there was no spare and so as it was just a couple of miles from home I decided to drive home very very slowly not exceeding 10 mph and putting on hazards if anyone came up behind me. It was very boring and difficult to keep the speed down.The decision to drive home was prompted by a similar incident a couple of weeks previously but a little closer to home where the same tyre was was killed and after a long wait for recovery the recovery driver said that he would have driven the distance to home. In the event he did drive far enough to drive onto the recovery truck.My main concern was damaging the alloy rim but when a new tyre was fitted using Halfords Tyres on the Drive the fitter didn't make any comment.How far would you drive on a flat tyre?

I appreciate that this isn t a very Pistonheads kind of vehicle but I thought it might be of a little bit of interest to some. Despite the love I had for my Fiat Panda 4x4 Cross winter car, I ve always really hankered after one of the latest Suzuki Jimny s but never actually did it whilst they were officially available in the UK. However, I recently got the chance to pick up a brand new import and decided to go for it.The car is exactly as it left the factory but I did get the dealer to upgrade the tyres for me as I d read some pretty poor (snow) reviews about the Dunlop Grand Trek tyres that
