I think there’s also an element of people being scared. As a wider point people appear to want to follow rather than lead when driving. Exactly what is happening in these instances. It's not malicious, it is just not considering others. Stop trying to turn this into entitlement, it quite clearly is not that. If I go out of my way to find space, I am putting myself out. It's not entitlement. Why do you think it's a fuss over nothing? Especially when, quite clearly, it is not nothing to other people. Try thinking about this from the perspective of those that are bothered about it, it might help you make sense of it.
